Teaching

Additional to her work at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Alexandra Türk-Espitalier offers the following teaching formats:

Individual Lessons

A thorough case history, movement analysis with instrument/while playing, adequate exercises (e.g. stretching, strengthening or coordination exercises) and an individual practice schedule are the contents of individual music physiology lessons. The aim is to bring the musician back to playing pain-free as soon as possible.

Masterclass/Team Teaching

At music masterclasses, students have the opportunity to receive lessons together with their instrumental professor and Dr. Türk-Espitalier. With two teachers being present at the same time, challenging musical topics such as the direct effects of movements on sound and phrasing can be worked on adequately.

Group lessons/Lectures

Group lessons or lectures are very popular for orchesteras, music schools and academies, as a larger number of people can be addressed easily. Common topics are general prevention for musicians, special prevention for orchestral musicians, music teachers and students and basic strengthening exercises.
